 doodle information

The Labradoodle was originally bred in Australia over 30 years ago.  The goal was to breed an allergy friendly and low to non- shedding coat on a dog that would be a good candidate for service work for handicapped folks.  The Standard Poodle brought intelligence and hair coat requirements to combine with the Labrador Retriever's compliant nature and desire to please.  The result is a breed of dog that is proving to be somewhat unique as time goes  on.  The Labradoodle brings an agile, joyful, fun loving dog with a focus to learn whatever it's owner is willing to spend the time to train it for.  They are capable of excelling in obedience training, agility, field trials, search & rescue, and certainly they have proven to excel as service and therapy dogs.  They are quiet and energetic without the rowdiness of the wonderful, lovable Labrador and add the amazing qualities of the Poodle with the non-shedding coat and comical, sensitive personality and extremely high intelligence presenting an extraordinarily trainable and companionable dog.

The Potty Bell

This amazing  bell training is easy and you can teach your puppy/dog to ring the bell to let you know they need to go out to potty.   It takes about five minutes for a Labradoodle to get a basic understanding and within 2 days they will be showing you their needs! :)   This is a link to a gun dog website that provides a variety of small cow bells and Google also has several other websites that offer small cow bells for training dogs.

SAMPLE BELLS FOR DOGS (we recommend the 2 inch or larger size and maybe 2 or more  together would work best)

The Wizdog Potty Tray

This amazing tray doesn't require any scenting or other aid to cause your puppy/dog to step on it and go "potty".   We start using it in the whelping box when our babies are 3 weeks old and then place it with them into the puppy playpens and then place them on the floor as they go into crate training and being free in the rooms.   They use them with great success here at Adhonay's and they are helpful if there is really bad weather outside and not one wants or can go outside to walk the dog.
